:hugsmiley aww, she looks like she is very sweet. With that rinkled nose. Maybe she was going to say something when they took the picture. How cute.

I am so glad you are still rescuing. You are such a good person, Mel. :hugsmiley

I have her now, and she is very sweet, almost a bit shy. She is not housetrained yet, I have work to do with her on that. Gus likes her, and she loves Gus, who wouldn't?

Thats sweet. You know, I think Gus needs a halo. He is the best boy.

Well, I have gotten a few calls on Debra. A couple is coming to see her tomorrow with their dog, and if the dogs get along, they will most likely take her home. The only hitch may be that they have 2 cats. I don't have any cats, but the last foster did, they told me that she chases cats but stops with a stern "no". They are willing to work with it. So we will see what happens tomorrow.

How is Debra doing. Did she get adopted. I know, you would have told us.

Oops, didn't update. Yes, Debra got adopted on Saturday. I really liked the couple who took her, they have a 100lb lab to play with her. Their dog was a little unsure at my house, I think because it smells like a lot of dogs (I had sent Gus and my mother's dog to my friend's house when they came over), but their scent was here, as well I'm sure Holly's scent, and Jingle's scent. She was probably wondering where all the dogs she was smelling were. But the 2 of them are playing now. Debra is a smaller girl, so I'm sure it is hard work to play with a 100 pounder. I don't think she even weighed 50lbs. So she is doing really well, and the couple loves her.

Somebody had emailed me a few times last week about her, but the last time I heard from them was Thursday. Then they emailed me back on Sunday to ask if Debra was still available. I had to tell them she had already been adopted. So now it is back to just Gus and me. I think Gus is glad that the gate on the stairs is back down. :laughingsmile Oh, and after the first day, she was perfect in the house as far as housetraining.

Oh that is great. She seemed so sweet. I hope he doesn't scare the hell out of her :laughingsmile being shy like she is. He will teach her life and maybe she won't be so shy. That will be good. I am happy for her. :hugsmiley

Debra wasn't scared of her, she was respectful though. They are playing tug of war according to the new mom. Their big female barks when she plays, and Debra backed off while they were here. Debra wanted to play, but she didn't know if the bark was serious or not, pretty typical of a puppy. She will do great with them.
