Title: Jingle

MyBoyGus - December 14, 2009 12:00 AM (GMT)
Jingle is a good boy so far. He has had a few accidents, but seems to be housetrained for the most part. He gets along well with Gus. He is very cuddly and wants to be a lab dog. Here are some pics of him.

And he lays a smack down!!! :jumpingsmiley1

He's handsome Mel!! I hope he finds his forever home quick!

MyBoyGus - December 14, 2009 02:51 PM (GMT)
And I have a referral on him already. He is mixed with something, his tail is definitely not a retriever tail. He is very sweet though.

2Goldens - December 14, 2009 03:42 PM (GMT)
Awww he is beautiful---or should I say handsome :dogbark: I love the last picture---gotta love those slobbery doggie kisses !! They are the greatest....

Rusty's mom - December 14, 2009 07:05 PM (GMT)
AW there you are you handsome boy. Gosh Cream and brown color is what lots of people like. He is beautiful. You shouldn't have him for to long. He looks very sweet too. He looks like a lab to me. Maybe he broke his tail somewhere.

He knows that you needed that kiss. :hugsmiley

MyBoyGus - December 15, 2009 12:06 AM (GMT)
Mom and the kids have met him, and they all really like him. Even the youngest who Jingle knocked over, and then kissed her. She is 9, so not too young, but she just laughed about it. She loves Jingle. So now we have to wait for Dad to meet him.

Rusty's mom - December 15, 2009 12:17 AM (GMT)
:hugsmiley. Thats good news.

He looks like such a wonderful dog. Good luck sweet boy.

GoldenFrost - December 16, 2009 11:49 PM (GMT)
What a sweety
If Jingles was a female I know a family here in Ontario that would love one like that
They just lost their girl of 15
He is so sweet

MyBoyGus - December 17, 2009 12:29 AM (GMT)
Well, the family didn't take Jingle. Mom and the kids loved him, but Dad wasn't sure. So he is still here and we will go to adoption day on Saturday. We will see how he does.

GOODTIMN - December 17, 2009 01:22 AM (GMT)
I THINK HE IS A TOTAL SWEETHEART. HE IS SUPER COOL LOOKING, BUT YET AS YOU KNOW I AM PARTIAL TO YELLOW LABBYS. :laughingsmile

YOU KNOW IT JUST MUST BE THE LABS NATURE TO BE TOTAL KISSERS, CUZ BIG JAKE WOULD CRAWL UP THE FRONT OF YOU LIKE JINGLES AND KISS AND KISS AND KISS :love663:

I KNOW THAT IT IS WAY TO SOON FOR YOU TO CONSIDER ANOTHER DOG, BUT YET HMMMMMMMMM HE SURE LOOKS LIKE A PERFECT FIT :thumbsupsmiley

Rusty's mom - December 17, 2009 02:24 AM (GMT)
Well, he is still a handsome boy. Someone will love him like he deserves. If he doesn't get adopted can you take a picture of that tail. It must be the only thing that doesn't look Lab because gees he sure looks like one to me. :hugsmiley

My Sadie has a tail like that. She was born with it that way. Bent at the end.

How is he doing. Does Gus like him. Maybe the guy didn't like his name. Sometimes names turn people off. Who named him that.

Good luck on Saturday.

MyBoyGus - December 17, 2009 02:37 AM (GMT)
They named him that because it is Christmas time. They named a dog Kringle too. It is hard to come up with a lot of different names, so they use seasonal themes, rivers, states, presidents, etc. We figure that people are going to change them anyway. I just call him Jing. He is a smart boy though.

MyBoyGus - December 18, 2009 05:32 PM (GMT)
Well, so much for adoption day. They are predicting 12-24 inches of snow right now for tomorrow so they canceled the adoption day. While that is probably a dusting to some of you in the midwest and in Canada, in the DC area it is a blizzard. We just don't have the snow plows to handle that much snow, and the drivers can't drive in it. Standing outside in that much snow would not be a fun thing either.

Rusty's mom - December 19, 2009 12:28 AM (GMT)
Oh thats to bad. I know he would have gotten adopted.

By the way. That dog I wrote about. The Lab. I was telling the owner how you adopt out 12 or so dogs a weekend and we both said they do nothing like that here. They don't even try. So thats why it was so important that someone take him. She told me that all the web site she looked at said ALL FULL. I'm sure they are because of doing nothing. They would rather kill them. Plus, they charge to much to get them adopted. Its all about the money. Not the dog. May I ask what you and your rescue people charge. I bet it is a lot less than here. Do the new people fill out long pages of paper work. I can see why they do that. For the safty of the dog. How is it done there.

You know that I am into helping all I can to better the adoption thing but they just don't care. I don't know how to change it here. Its terrible.

Good luck on the next one. :hugsmiley

MyBoyGus - December 19, 2009 02:23 AM (GMT)
Here is our website: http://www.lab-rescue.com/

It has the adoption application on it.

Here is the lookup for local rescues: http://www.thelabradorclub.com/subpages/searchrescue.php

There are 8 lab rescues in California.

Somebody may come and see Jingle on Sunday, depending if they have the roads cleared by that time.

MyBoyGus - December 20, 2009 12:11 AM (GMT)
Well, we have about 22 inches so far and it is still snowing. This storm will end up being 2 feet by the time it is done. I think it was wise to cancel the adoption day.

Rusty's mom - December 20, 2009 12:16 AM (GMT)
Yes it was. Yuck I hate snow. We haven't gotten it yet but when we do I just hate it. I can hardly walk in it around the yard. Its so deep. The street is thick and can't drive in it either. Thats why I run to the store for a weeks worth of food and stuff when I hear its coming.

Hope it melts fast for you. How are the dogs doing with the snow. Oh I know, they love it. Mine too.

I wanted to ask you where you got Jingles colar. I have two of them but they were given to me by my sister in law. They are pretty hardy.

MyBoyGus - December 20, 2009 01:44 AM (GMT)
The collar in the pic? It came from Marshall. It is either a 3/4 inch collar or a half inch collar, Marshall needed a 1 inch collar. I use a martingale collar when we walk. I usually buy my collars online, seems to be a better selection. Lupine collars and leashes are guaranteed for life, even if it gets chewed. They have some nice collars there.

3/4 inch collars: http://www.lupinepet.com/dog/med_dog.php

1 inch collars: http://www.lupinepet.com/dog/lg_dog.php

You can buy them at most of the online pet stores.

Rusty's mom - December 20, 2009 02:34 AM (GMT)
O.K. thanks. I love the ones I have and I don't worry they will come out of them.

I'm going to go look right now. Thanks

SuzySues - December 20, 2009 07:08 PM (GMT)
Wow he is a handsome boy. I love the affection of Labs, my Lab X was a kisser too!! :hugsmiley Its a shame the family didn't take him. Labs are real family dogs arn't they? :love663:

Merlinsmom - December 22, 2009 11:37 PM (GMT)
He is a beautiful boy!!! I bet he gets adopted soon.I know I wouldn't be able to resist him. What a sweet face!

MyBoyGus - January 10, 2010 07:33 PM (GMT)
Jingle got adopted today. We were frozen outside today. We were out for about an hour before Jingle started shivering a little bit, so we went inside. It was around 16F out, so it was darn cold. The couple seems to love him very much. Good luck in your forever home Jingle.

Sabre's Mom - January 10, 2010 11:12 PM (GMT)

Rusty's mom - January 11, 2010 02:50 AM (GMT)
:hugsmiley Aw I bet you miss him. He stayed a while. 16 is pretty cold even for us with coats on. I wish him so much love.

I hope they e-mail you and tell you about his new home.
