Description: please post yours

Here is the link to where I live. The red arrow is pointing to the wrong house, mine is opposite, on the corner with the big sweep of garden round it. If you pan out you can see how close to the sea we are.

Sue's house

Ooops that does seem to work, Try putting in the post code CO15 1BS.

Emma&Tilly - April 13, 2009 06:24 PM (GMT)
Hey Sue...I think I know which house you mean!! You are sooo lucky to live by the sea...I would love to one day!! I love this idea of looking at each other's areas...I hope others add to the thread especially from different countries! The only impression of american neighbourhoods I have is from tv shows like desperate housewives!! Would love to have a more realistic view!!

SuzySues - April 13, 2009 06:47 PM (GMT)
Thanks Emma, where's your then?

drbyer - April 14, 2009 12:54 AM (GMT)
Okay, here's mine. Our house is two to the left with the gray roof.

Denise's house

I've been looking for a picture of the front of our house but can't seem to find one and it's raining today...

Emma&Tilly - April 14, 2009 09:21 AM (GMT)
wow Denise...I can't get over how neat all the sections of road are...they are in the most perfect squares with such straight roads!! Things are a big more winding over here!! Here is my area from above...

This is my little village from a great height!

Here is my street zoomed in...we are a couple of houses to he right

Emma&Tilly - April 14, 2009 04:56 PM (GMT)
wow, you seem out on your own there Beecharmer!! Is that woodland behind your house??

SuzySues - April 14, 2009 08:39 PM (GMT)
You village is lovely Emma. Beecharmer I see what Emma means you are all alone!! I love your place Denise, it looks lovely. All of yours make mine look very built up, it may be by the sea, but it is a typical sea-side town. I wish we had a bit more greenery around us.

Thanks for sharing I love having a nose around! :laughingsmile

drbyer - April 15, 2009 02:17 AM (GMT)
Oh, I love this! So far, we have Sue by the sea, Emma in a lovely little village, Beecharmer definitely in the country, and our subdivision. I tend to find everyone else's much more interesting...Anyone else??

kristyrenee - April 15, 2009 02:51 PM (GMT)
Ok, hopefully this works - I live in downtown Chicago

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=1000%2...F-8&sa=N&tab=wl

Emma&Tilly - April 15, 2009 04:31 PM (GMT)
oooh that was interesting Kristy...you can go to street level...I was just having a wander down your road! We all live in very different areas...its interesting to see how cities and even suburbs are built in America...again, with the straight roads like a grid system...you don't get that at all here...if you look at a ariel view of London it is completely different..I guess because cities here are so much older and were built up over such a long amount of time you don't get that uniform look! This is a really interesting thread! Keep posting!!

Beecharmer - April 15, 2009 08:10 PM (GMT)
Yes, I am alone in the woods! We are in a very hilly part of the county. I will try to take some pictures tonight of the house & woods. I like this thread too. Very interesting.

Heather's House

FUN!! The "A" is in the wrong spot, we are 3 houses to the left of it (a lane is beside us). Chrissy (Daisy's Mom) is directly across the road from us. Towards the bottom left of the page is a green space - we go there often as a family because we can play fetch with Sabre which Judd plays on the playset & slides.

GoldenFrost - April 17, 2009 12:35 PM (GMT)
Okay here goes. Hope this works. This is so much fun

The Frost House in Canada

Hm I just notice it says "London" instead of "Port Franks" Stupid people probably never heard of our little village :laughingsmile

drbyer - April 18, 2009 03:13 AM (GMT)
Kristy, I didn't realize you were downtown Chicago! I figured you were in one of the suburbs. Heather, it's nice you live close to a place you can take Judd and Sabre to play. And so many trees, Bonnie! We all really do live in such different neighborhoods. Emma, I bet you're right about why London looks the way it does. I took a look at it on Google Earth. Pretty cool! I'm really enjoying this thread...

SuzySues - April 18, 2009 11:22 AM (GMT)
Oh I love seeing where you all live! But how do you get your link to work? :shrug

the use the http:// button on your message (button up above here)
Paste in the map address you just copied
Post message and it will show up
Hope this helps

And so many trees, Bonnie! We all really do live in such different neighborhoods.

And in those trees are nothing but trails and sand dunes
If you pan over to the left on the map you will see how close the lake is
It is only 2 mins. from the house. You can hear it at night even though we don't live on the shore line

SuzySues - April 18, 2009 06:57 PM (GMT)
I noticed the lake Bonnie & thanks for the instructions, I never noticed that link button before!

Here we go: Sue's House

And this is how my estate looked when it was a Butlins holiday camp. My nan used to work there & I remember visiting her when I was very little. They pulled it down in the 1980's, then in the 90's they built my estate:

Oooh Beecharmer I love where you live, perfect for Goldens to run!! :clap

Beecharmer - April 20, 2009 02:49 PM (GMT)
She just loves being outside. I don't think she ever got to run at her old house. She lived in town with a tiny yard. I have been taking her to the hunting preserve with me and she snoops around and tries to find stuff. She loves it there too.
