 I thought I was getting a trip to the US then!
awww...I bet that will be so great to see her...how come you are picking her up??
MyBoyGus - March 9, 2007 07:42 PM (GMT)
It's a different Emma than I had before. This one is a 1 year old yellow female. Don't know much about her. They transported her down to the vet to hold until I can go pick her up.
I'm still trying to get over Buster getting adopted so quickly, I really liked the boy, and then he was gone. I would have missed him if I had blinked.
Sorry about getting your hopes up for a trip to America. :laughingsmile

Oops, she is a 1 year old black female, don't know why I thought she was yellow. When they brought her out at the vet, I asked if they had the right dog. :laughingsmile
She is a very sweet girl, but a bit afraid of things sometimes. She was being fostered by somebody that also had a golden retriever, and the foster would let her dog go up to Emma's bowl and they got into a few scraps over it. :spanksmiley So now she has some food agression issues. I'm feeding her in the crate, last night she was a bit growly when she was eating, but she did a bit better this morning.
Emma and Gus have been playing up a storm, she is a very playful girl, Gus seems to like her. They are playing tug-of-war now and just generally having a good time.

She sounds very sweet, apart from the growling of course!! But that is probably fear. I have a growler so I feel for her. :hugsmiley

Well, overall, Emma has been quite a good guest. However, she peed on my friends lap on Friday night. :sadsmiley1 She was having tons of fun, and I don't think she wanted to stop and go outside. She went to sit in my friends lap and I think she got her bladder bumped. So she peed, I put her outside, and Emma still had to pee, so I know she had to go bad. You would think that Emma would know better! :laughingsmile
Gus does love her, and they have been playing hard. Adoption day is next Sunday.

LOL...us Emma's arent known for our social graces!! aww bless her she was just having too much fun to have time to pee...!!
Are you getting the possible 'keeper' feeling about her at all?

Well, Emma got adopted today. She went to a very nice couple and she has a boat now. I transported a 4 month old puppy up named Bear, and he got adopted too. My friend is fostering a 6 year old and there was quite a bit of interest in him, but he didn't get adopted. I think overall we adopted out about 15. Then I stopped by the vet where we kennel some of our dogs and picked up a 4 month old puppy named Donald. He is a really sweet dog, I think somebody is coming to see him this afternoon. Gus likes him, but he thinks it is no substitute for Emma.
