I'm just wondering out loud here, what are acceptable ring side manners at conformation shows? I mean, I've tried to be friendly to fellow competitors by smiling at them but many just give me the cold shoulder!!!
The only nice ones that huddle together and congratulate each other are those of us who are newbies... Most are first time owner/handler people.
I had some friends who are getting a pup from Thailand sitting in my "camp" and they will be showing the pup in future. Comes along a competitor whom my friends had approached about handling their pup. She plonks herself at the table and talks to them, totally ignoring me!!! I looked at her and smiled. She looks away. I was like... #^$%#@#!!!
Now, the only thing that I get "agressive" about is another dog sniffing Dyna's butt. Other than that, I'm pretty ok - I think.
Sheesh... :shrug
I'm sorry! That sounds just horrible...I don't really know what to say.... Some people get super stressed about that sort of thing, not that it's any excuse for being rude... and there's the 'politics' aspects of things and all....sounds scary!

JUST SHOW UP AND DO YOUR JOB AND BE NICE TO THOSE WHO ARE RECEPTIVE AND TO THOSE WHO ARENT THEN TURN THE OTHER TAIL AND GO ON YOUR WAY, AND EXPECT THE SAME RECEPTION AT THE NEXT SHOW...
THAT IS WHY SOOOO MANY QUIT SHOWING, BECAUSE A LOT OF DOG SHOW PEOPLE ARE TRUELY THE """RUDEST""" PEOPLE YOU MAY EVER MEET IN YOUR LIFE...
