Title: Jake - Update
Description: Jake got adopted-thats officer Jake now
MyBoyGus - October 1, 2006 08:15 PM (GMT)
Jake is 1 1/2, he is a very handsome boy! He and Gus get along great, except when he tries to hump Gus. Gus doesn't put up with that. His owners gave him up because the wife was allergic. He was at the vet for a while so he is full of energy.
He is in the crate right now because he just peed on my raincoat. Ugh, it was marking, he is housetrained. At least the coat is washable. Pics when I get them.

Oh Gus! He sounds like the typical exuberant male "puppy!" Can't wait to see pics!

What a beautiful boy Jake is! I began reading the stories on the dogs but had to stop! Who could pierce a sweet thing like that with a pitchfork! Just couldn't read any more or I would just have to go get them all!

That one makes me mad too. We don't get cases in like that too often, thank god. Its really amazing how forgiving these guys are. One of my fosters was kept on a cement patio, and they kept forgetting to feed him. He ate whatever vegetables he could get from the garden. He was sooooo skinny, and had to eat a special diet for a while. But he was the most loving dog, and got adopted immediately.
Another one was the dog my friend adopted, Holly. She was rescued from a pit bull training facility with multiple lacerations on her head and neck. Those were healed by the time she became my foster. She is the most loving girl, and I haven't met a dog that she doesn't like and want to play with.
A dogs capacity for forgiveness and love is just amazing.

They are all so beautiful. Most of them have such kind eyes. Did you see Cuma? One blue eye and one brown eye.
So sad. They all deserve wonderful homes. I can hardly read there stories. Love to all of them. :hugsmiley

Its the happy ending when they find their forever home that counts most! These guys are given a new chance at life with a family that loves them. They deserve it, and they know when it has happened. I've seen my fosters pick out their new family, its like they just know.

I can't believe the amount if people that give them up when they move!! I could NEVER do that, I would find another solution. Jake looks a bit of a live wire, but what a handsome boy!! I fell in love with Elton (#6457) I would have him without hesitation! Good job I live so far away!

Good News. Jake is getting adopted by the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) to be a police dog. I kept thinking he reminded me of Muneco. Its a great life for them, they are with their handlers 24/7. So a big Woo Hoo for Jake!
