Today was Dyna's second time in the show ring. She did really well!!! I'm so proud of my baby!!! Bear with the pictures "overload" because I cant stop clicking!! :laughingsmile

Dyna took Best Puppy Bitch and Best of Breed beating a veteran Ch dog!! Gosh!!! I was literally shivering with excitement by then.

On she went to compete for the Best of Group.


Hehe... strutting her stuff again... She got Reserve Best in Group and Best Puppy in Group!!!


By now, I was really shaking!!! I truly truly did not expect her to get this far so soon... But the handler said she was really "showy" today. :rolleyes:

On to compete for Best Puppy in Show... Ah well, the husky won it...

Its funny how people didnt even give Dyna a second look before and the moment she was winning, we had all sorts of strangers walking up to us and commenting what a lovely girl she is. One other pro handler actually offered to "teach" her and make her "better"!! Think that pissed my handler off!! :laughingsmile

Now that kind of politics you do get in agility. When you do well everyone wants to talk to you and become your friend. When you are just doing average...no one even talks to you.

Oh Mole! How wonderful! I just want to cry looking at Dyna's beautiful pictures! I so well know what you were feeling when your beautiful baby won! What a great feeling and how proud you must be of her. She looks just great and your handler is doing a great job with her. Sometimes it takes a few shows to see how the dog and handler bond and it looks like Dyna and her handler are a good mix. You can see how she looks up at him in the picture. She loves him. It appears that they work very well together and compliment each other. That is exactly what you want. CONGRATULATIONS! I'm sure there are a lot more wins to come! Goldenmom - you should see Dyna light up when she sees him!! Its like "who's mommy?" "who's daddy?" :rofl: She even remembers him from the last show. When she first met him again on Saturday, she was all kissy and waggy... (psst... he's the only one allowed to hold out treats to her during show days)

Koda - it'll be a while before I get trained. :laughingsmile My handler's requirements for accepting students is pretty high... I need to prove myself worthy to be his student first! :rolleyes: But he knows I'm watching his every move and tricks and his not making any attempt to hide them. Think that is a good sign!! :thumbsupsmiley

You are truly blessed to have such a wonderful handler and one that Dyna loves. Dakota was not impressed with our handler and neither was my hubby! I should have listened to both of them. Dakota showed for him but when we look back on it we think Dakota only showed for the handler because he knew that was what was expected of him --- not because he wanted to. Dakota didn't like the show ring to begin with but actually showed better for me than he did for the handler. When the handler began to show him was when Dakota became really sensitive about having his tail touched by anyone but me. Hubs thinks that the handler grabbed him by the tail at one time and hurt him. Yes, you and Dyna are truly blessed by this wonderful handler!
