Yes, we will be getting a new baby sometime in May. They are expected to be born this week sometime - anywhere between now and April 7th, so will be ready to come home with us about mid to end of May.

Well, we went to Wisc. to visit the kennels several weeks ago. It is a beautiful place right on the Wisc. River. This kennel is one that I have been talking with about a puppy for about 3 or 4 years but we just were not ready yet. Parents are champions and the puppy will be sold only with a spay/neuter contract, which is fine with me. We did our interview with the breeder and "passed" :laughingsmile and we are getting a female. Litter is expected sometime in this next week. We are still talking about names but I'm getting absolutely no help from hubby - he saus that is my job! We took some pictures while there but only of some of the pups from the litter they had ready to go then. Below is a pic of the puppy he is keeping from that litter to show. Of all things ---- her name is SUNNY!

No Mole, its a different kennel. When we went to the dog show in Feb. I saw both breeders dogs and both were gorgeous but I kept coming back to this breeder. We had seen his dogs several years ago and fell in love with them. I like the other breeders dogs too but like these better so we went for it. The dog that first hooked us was Gambler (AM/CAN CH. Amberac Dichi Face The Odds). Gambler is now retired and is I think the grandpa of these pups. Prettiest Golden I have ever seen!
You can see him at www.dichigoldens.com

Oh- that pup is so sweet and fuzzy! I just want to kiss her little snout!

I'm so excited for you guys!
My vote for the name is Lola! That's my favorite name for the moment!!

GoldenMom - March 28, 2006 05:53 PM (GMT)
Thanks Kristy. I hadn't thought of Lola. I like that name. Its down on my list. I really like Delaney, Gracie and Flame too. Gosh, this is so hard to pick! I also love the name Tawny but hubby hates it so that one is out.

Oh puppy fever again. I can't wait to see your baby. How exciting. I will just have to smell her puppy breath over the internet. :laughingsmile

So you are getting a Golden?

How sweet that picture is. Makes me want to hug a pupppy. Someone elses though.

GoldenMom - April 3, 2006 08:29 PM (GMT)
Oh, don't you just love puppy breath! I'd like to bottle it so I could smell it anytime I want!

Yes, we are getting a Golden baby. A girl. The litter was born a week ago Sat so they are 9 days old now. We'll be going to Wisconsin to see the litter on April 25th. She will be coming home mid-May.

Even though this is an old thread I was happy to see that I am not the first person to get excited about a new golden puppy. I have reserved one from a litter in Canada that is supposed to be born July 16th 2008 and I can hardly wait! No one else I know seems to understand getting excited over I puppy that hasn't even been born yet, except my one sister who says she was like that years ago before she got her first dog, a chocolate lab.

I am running around puppy proofing the house and reading about goldens and I was happy to find this site. Susan

:welcomesmiley Susan. We are crazy about puppies here. I'm like Goldenmom, i love the puppy breath. Others like the way puppy feet smell. You have a long wait, probably 3 months before you will get the pup. Do you want a girl or boy? There is something special about puppies, but they are a lot of work. I bet you can't wait! Post pics when you have them.

GoldenMom - June 8, 2008 06:09 PM (GMT)
Oh Susan, congratulations! You will be sooooo happy with your new puppy! Its gonna seem like the days are going by sooooo slowly until your new baby comes home! My Jazzy (she ended up Jasmine Pearl) is 2 yrs old now and the most unique dog we have ever had! I swear she was a human in another life!

Are you getting a boy or girl?

Lynn

Here is a picture of my Jazzy now. This is how she watches TV!

I am getting a boy, and the waiting does seem very long but I find many breeders have promised all their pups before they are even born. Fall is a good time for me, too, because my husband runs a Boy Scout camp so summers are crazy.

Your dogs are beautiful. Susan

GoldenFrost - June 9, 2008 09:33 PM (GMT)
Oh I know what it is like to wait. But we only had to wait 3 weeks for our Tara and it felt like 3 yrs. Now she is gone but we have 10 yrs of wonderful memories
I am looking forward to seeing the pics. in the fall. I'll have my nose glued to the screen incase I can smell a bit of puppy :laughingsmile
