Title: Fisher!!!

Fisher - August 9, 2005 05:06 AM (GMT)
Here's a few pics of Fisher that were done at shows he's been entered in,

This one was taken when he was 10 months old and he won Best Puppy in Group

This one was at the same show as the above. A beautiful head shot that shows how nice of a head that he has.

This one was taken about 8 months later at a different show. We thought we'd get a nice pic that shows what a nice coat he had.

Unfortunately I can't seem to find the pic when he got his championship and won Best of Winners but I will surely post it as soon as I can!
He has had limited time showing as most of you know as either been busy being pregnant or with the baby. We plan to get back into it and campaign him soon.

Nice shots, gorgeous coat for 18 months, I can only hope.....

Charlie Francis is one of the nicest judges I have met, very gentle with the pups.

Are you planning on doing the showing for his campaign? I admire that.....

Shalva - August 9, 2005 02:53 PM (GMT)
He is really quite lovely you should be very proud of him.

Is he finished in the states or in Canada...... I am guessing Canada but was not totally sure....

handsome handsome boy.

:clap Thank you very much for the lovely compliments!! Yes Fisher has always had a long coat. Although hard to groom flat as he has a wave to it :bangheadsmiley .

Yes he is a great judge! He looked past the puppy antics and actually looked at the puppies structure. He was seriously considering putting Fisher up for Best Puppy in Show but gave it to a husky instead. Oh well :shrug , I guess we didn't do too bad considering my show lead broke just before the down and back!! Boy, did I have to scramble to tie it on somehow!!! Now I check everything before I go into the ring and also bought a very expensive kangaroo leather show lead to use instead. Live and Learn!

Yes I've shown Fisher throughout his show career and will continue to do so. I think it builds a great bond between you and your dog. Although I have had a friend who shows Weims bring him in just so that I could see him move and to see what he looked like with someone else showing him.

Yes he is finished in Canada. I would love to get his American CH but refuse to give him the rabies vaccine so that we can cross the border.
I also plan to get his UKC CH once we have a show somewhere near my province.

AWWW! I just love seeing pictures of Fisher :love663: He is soooo beautiful, soft and cuddly-looking. Everytime I see a picture of him, I feel like I want to hug him! :hugsmiley

Fisher - August 9, 2005 03:45 PM (GMT)
Thank you Ginger's mom! Unfortunately the only times that Fisher looks that soft and cuddly is right after a show. Once he gets home to the farm he runs through the mud and gets as dirty as he can. I have been very lucky with his coat too. It doesn't matt easily and he's never had a hot spot!

Fisher is a very high drive dog and doesn't really like to cuddle much. If you try to cuddle with him he wants to make it into a WWF wrestling match! :laughingsmile
If you call him up onto the couch he insists on rolling and rolling to try and knoch all the couch cushions off! He is quite the clown!!
He will however cuddle but on his terms. Once he feels he's done getting his pets and cuddles then the wrestling match begins!

Ginger's Mom - August 9, 2005 05:24 PM (GMT)
Aw, Fisher you spunky little boy! :clap Love how he cuddles on his own terms. That is so cute!! :hugsmiley

Sammy's Mom - August 11, 2005 01:36 AM (GMT)
Wow! I LOVE that picture of him up on the step- what a handsome little man! That coat is to die for! He is so beautiful! Besides alot of work, what is the secret to such a soft shiny beautiful coat? My Blue is not shiny - should i be feeding him vitaminE on his food? Or eggs?

Fisher - August 11, 2005 02:16 AM (GMT)
Thanks Sammy's mom!! I have to admit that Fisher doesn't get alot done to his coat. I rarely brush it and he only gets a full grooming every so often. Living on the farm he's always dirty from playing in the mud and long grass. I've been very lucky with his coat and that it has always been very long and full, sometimes too much so. The only thing that I really do do, is to feed him a good raw diet. I personnally think that it is the reason why his coat is always so nice. A raw egg is great for a dogs coat about twice a week. I am lucky here because we slaughter our own beef, pork, deer, moose, etc.... for Fishers raw food. Maybe its the fact that the food is very fresh, organic, free of vaccines and steroids. I really don't know. He's also one of those dogs that doesn't get matts easily and has never had a hot spot so again I've been really lucky there. Thanks again for noticing!!

Emma&Tilly - August 11, 2005 07:44 AM (GMT)
Ooh and you can really tell that Fisher doesn't wear a collar...his hair around his neck just goes straight down his front..it looks beautiful! Even when Tilly has her collar off, the hair still looks 'split' up somehow...ah well!

Fisher is such a lucky boy to get such a wonderful diet..straight off the farm! I bet his diet is better than mine!!!

Ami - August 12, 2005 02:46 PM (GMT)
What a soft coat he has, beautiful, now only if it could stay that way. Ami is curly all over, he say he just like it rough.

GOODTIMN - November 4, 2005 07:38 AM (GMT)
JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF LOOKING AT ""FISHER"" HE IS MAJESTIC!!!!!!! :thumbsupsmiley
